Real Estate Litigation

We litigate cases involving real estate disputes, such as disputes over contracts. While we do not handle residential real estate closings, we are pleased to refer this work to other attorneys. We will assist our clients in commercial real estate sales, purchases and refinancing.

Our firm makes very effort to save our clients the time and costs of litigation by making use of mediation when negotiations are at a standstill. We counsel our clients by preparing for every possible outcome and the costs and benefits. When mediation does not result in a favorable settlement and litigation is necessary or unavoidable, the advice of an experienced, aggressive real estate attorney is essential.

Experience shows that the best way to avoid the costly battle in court is to prepare contracts, agreements and to conduct the transaction itself knowing that litigation is always a possibility and structuring the agreements and the course of any transaction to make litigation unlikely.

Helping our clients buy or sell real estate, drafting and negotiating leases, helping to acquire property through mortgage foreclosure or tax sales or by resolving title or ownership issues, we know that the deal can result in a dispute that must be resolved in Court. We are prepared to litigate effectively and efficiently when it is absolutely necessary to protect our client's interest in the real property and the deal.

Our firm has experience in litigating:

Title disputes

Quieting title

Adverse Possession

Ejectments of unwanted non-tenants

Commercial and residential foreclosures

Landlord –Tenant disputes

Rent collections

Disputes over ownership of real estate

Contract disputes (including breach of contract cases)
